AirConsole Brings Multiplayer Entertainment to the Road Allowing Users to Play Games in Volkswagen Cars
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has officially launched the AirConsole in-car gaming app across select models, including the ID. Buzz, Caddy, Multivan, Crafter, and California (from model year 2025), making it easier than ever to play games in Volkswagen vehicles.
Building on an existing partnership, this rollout marks a significant expansion of AirConsole’s presence within the Volkswagen ecosystem. Developed for seamless integration into the infotainment system, AirConsole enables up to 8 players to enjoy multiplayer games using their smartphones as controllers—no additional hardware required.
At launch, 15 games are available, including the classic PAC-MAN™ Championship Edition, with more titles to be added via OTA updates. The app is accessible through Volkswagen’s In-Car Shop for vehicles equipped with VW Connect Plus.
This deployment underscores AirConsole’s growing footprint in the automotive space and highlights increasing demand for social, interactive entertainment during moments of pause on the road.
